Three tips to manage risk in construction in schools

Three tips to manage risk in construction in schools:

  1. Ensure you have a properly secured construction site. You need 1.8m high temporary fencing to the entire perimeter of the work area, including any construction storage.
  2. Schedule all deliveries for when children are in class. Kids love trucks and machines, but kids and machines don’t mix.
  3. All vehicles must be shepherded from the public road until they’re inside the fenced compound. There are always kids about, even in class time, and someone walking by the vehicle can cover all the blind spots.
