Brief

Regional bowling club for all-weather use

This project saw us erect a cover for the Pakenham Bowling Club to enable all-weather use. We were able to provide a turnkey solution for the club, integrating lighting, power, PA system and plumbing within the structure. We also handled all council permits and managed all subcontractors.

Challenge

We found innovative solutions to a number of challenges during project delivery. The site itself presented a number of access issues, which we were able to overcome through consultation with the client, attention to details and experiences on similar projects. Along with the need to stay off the bowling green during construction (to avoid damaging it), we also discovered unexpected soil conditions which would have meant one of the footings was unstable. We were able to resolve this by pumping in concrete to stabilise the footings.
